Mail Options
You may wish to tweak the way you receive your tri-drs email. By default you will receive each message to the list individually. If you want to receive the emails in a digest format, you will need to change your options. Listed below are some of the ways you can tweak the way you receive your email.

Digest (receive several emails in one big email - generally once a day)
1. Send an email to: listserv@listserv.dartmouth.edu
2. In the BODY of the message type (all on one line):

set tri-drs digest

NoMime (if the emails are coming as attachment inside another email)
1. Send an email to: listserv@listserv.dartmouth.edu
2. In the BODY of the message type (all on one line):

set tri-drs nomime

Index (you get a list of the day's messages and order them a la carte from Listserv)
1. Send an email to: listserv@listserv.dartmouth.edu
2. In the BODY of the message type (all on one line):

set tri-drs index

NoMail (good for vacations)
1. Send an email to: listserv@listserv.dartmouth.edu
2. In the BODY of the message type (all on one line):

set tri-drs nomail

Please note
:

  • Each of these commands uses the same syntax: set tri-drs OPTION

  • Emails are sent to: LISTSERV@listserv.dartmouth.edu (caps are optional)

  • If your email automatically adds a .sig file to your emails, make sure you delete it before sending your request to the listserv

  • To send a command to the listserv or to post to the list you must use the email that you subscribed with

  • If you have problems with any of these list options, please email the list owner with the details of the problems you are having.
